CEBIT gets a lot of criticism for its size. But this year's first impressions are that the show is so much more spacious than 3GSM for example. The Germans really know how to run an exhibition. Yes the crowds are as thick as ever but there seems much more space to move around.
Some halls also make huge impact in terms of how they capture the size and diversity of a market segment. A case in point is how Hall 11 brings together nearly all of the major telematic vendors out there. Yes, some of the big boys aren't here but the quality of the stands in Hall 11 demonstrates why Cebit is still a major event in the European IT calendar because it really is so comprehensive.
And the weather is brilliant (for a change)
